Amalfi: Drive Spectacular

The Taj Mahal and its gardens at Agra were seen by Mr. Kegel on his four-day tour of India by air as he visited Bombay, Delhi and Agra. Cairo, Luxor and Alexandria were the main spots of sightseeing in Egypt. He went on a drive to Gizeh to view the Pyramids and Sphinx.

As for the countries in Asia, Mr. Kegel felt that Japan was the most progressive. However, when he reached Greece, and saw the busy capital of Athens, and if comparison is fair, he had a feeling that the Japanese were far behind the Greeks. He found Athens full of historic sites. A visit was made to the Acropolis, the National Museum, Temple of Zeus, etc.

Next port of call was Italy, where Mr. Kegel left Naples by auto for a drive to Pompeii and then over the mountains to Amalfi. He lists the trip along the Amalfi Drive as one of the most spectacular and enjoyable of his entire trip. He also visited the beautiful resort town of Sorrento.
