Rode Elephants, Camels

In France he left the ship at Villefranche and motored to Nice and then a lovely drive to the Riviera and Monte Carlo. Another drive took him to Cannes, Grasse the great perfume center and Vence, a favorite haunt of artists.

Last stop was at Tangier, perched on the northwestern tip of Africa.

Mr. Kegel tells his friends that he has returned with a new appreciation of America and is ever so thankful that he is an American citizen.

In 80 days he traveled by ship, plane, train, auto, rode elephants in Ceylon and camels in Egypt and rode in rickshaws in Asia. He returned with a variety of hats, including a favorite Italian beret, a Tyrolean-style hat from the Alps, a fez from Saudi Arabia, a turban from India and a Greek hat.

To Take Cycle Along

Is he ready to take off his vagabond shoes for a while? Hardly. After a brief stay he plans to try the trip explained in a folder handed him in Chicago.

Yes, in the not too distant future Mr. Kegel will take off for a 40-day motorcycle tour of Europe, giving him ample opportunity to drink the beauty along the Amalfi Drive on his favorite motorcycle.
