110th Anniversary Look Back - Day 94

Did any of you attend our Meet and Greet with Miss April Easyrider and Rockford native Jerilyn French when she appeared with our Kegel Motorcycle Race Team for their kickoff event back in 1999?

From the Rockford Labor News article:
"She's a delight to the eyes - and what a gal she is! - Jerilyn French, chosen nationwide to be "Miss April Easyrider." Those who attended the memorable Kegel Motorcycle Race Team Kickoff had an opportunity to meet the blonde beauty of classic pulchritude, acquire autographs and pictures, and even ask her all kinds of questions.

The special guest is a waitress, it was emphasized, not a dance, at the Rockford-Belvidere club most widely known in male circles for uninhibited bouncy dancers with nothing in their working garb budgets for Cross-Your-Hearts or Maidenforms. When not waitressing, Jerilyn holds a sales position for a major cosmetics company.

True cycle fans made certain they had a chance to meet the race team drawing new attention to the legendary Kegel Motorcycle Co. in Rockford. The four team members shown in the lower photo with Miss April Easyrider and their snortin' American-made, union-made Harley-Davidson motorcycles are now respected at racing events from Daytona International Speedway to New Hampshire and the upper east coast, as well as many midwest area tracks. The riders, Randy Rule, Dean Hagemann, Curt Ellis and Rich Feagin are all employed in various capacities at Kegel's, the world's oldest Harley dealership.
