First Time Harley-Davidson Sportster wins C.C.S. Regional and National Titles
Rockford,IL.: Dean Hagemann, Amateur rider for Kegel Motorcycle Co. Race Team clinched the Championship Cup Series Mid-American Motorcycle Roadracing Championship in the Lightweight Sportsman and Lightweight Supersport Divisions at Blackhawk Farms Raceway in Rockton, IL on September 26th. Hagemann won the titles in his first full year of participation on the circuit riding a Harley-Davidson Sportster.
Winning the Mid-American Championship qualified Hagemann for the C.C.S. Race of Champions, National Championship Finals at the Daytona International Speedway, October 21-24th. On Saturday, he finished 3rd in the Lightweight Sportsman Division and led the Lightweight Supersport Division from start to finish as he captured a National Championship.
This is the first time ever, that a Harley-Davidson Sportster has won a Regional and National Championship Title in C.C.S history.
