110th Anniversary Look Back - Day 128

Did you join us for the 15th annual Poker Run in the 90s?

From the news article:
Kegel's Poker Run Does It For "Jerry's Kids"

Motorcycles were in abundance as some 500 cyclists prepared to leave the parking lot in front of Kegel's Motorcycle Company on Auburn St. for the 15th annual Poker Run to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association and "Jerry's Kids."

Mostly area riders participate, but some out-of-towners always join in the fun where approximately $10,000 was raised this year, according to Mel Kegel. In spite of rainy weather forecasts, the sun smiled brightly on the even adding to the enjoyment of both riders and spectators who nibbled, sipped, and stomped a foot to the music during the Kegel Open House.

In lower photos, Gene Kleparski sits astride his 1990 "Fat Boy" Harley (at left) ready to add another year to the many he has accumulated as a Poker Run rider.

That's John and Diane Guerrero, a husband and wife duo, astride their 1984 FLHS (1340) Harley. What else at the oldest known Harley-Davidson dealer world wide? A few other makes admittedly slipped in, and all bikers were very welcome for the great cause of helping kids.
