110th Anniversary Look Back - Day 193

Today for #365daysofkegelhd we jump to July 1, 1956 where the Rockford Morning Star published a photo of Joe's son (Bob's brother) Harold who was running Kegel's Bicycle (and Toy) Store at the time with a local grand prize winner!

Mrs. Gordon Carlson, 608 Westchester Drive, who won WROK's TRADE PARADE contest, shows the route of her all-expense vacation trip to Harold Kegel, owner of Kegel's Bicycle & Toy Store, where she entered the WROK contest. In addition to trip for two to Texas and Old Mexico, Mrs. Carlson's prizes include cash, groceries and merchandise awards.

TRADE PARADE entries were judged by Herbert Berry, Assistant Secretary of Rockford Chamber of Commerce.
